Karolina is profoundly fascinated by the intelligence of women’s bodies in creating, birthing, and nurturing new life. As a dedicated practitioner of women's health and fertility specialist, she finds immense joy in witnessing her clients transform during their pregnancies, becoming mothers, and growing the next generation. Noticing a significant gap in how women access allopathic and holistic care at various stages of life, including the pressing need for fertility support, Karolina shifted the focus of her practice to empower women in achieving their health and family goals. Her approach is patient-centered, working closely with midwives, doulas, and other prenatal professionals to help hundreds of women optimize fertility, experience healthy pregnancies, satisfying births, and embrace parenthood with confidence, all while honouring each family's unique journey. At Acumamas, Karolina offers a range of services including acupuncture for fertility and pregnancy support, cervical ripening, postpartum care, menstrual cycle regulation, peri-menopause, mental health, digestion and sleep as well as Traditional Fire Cupping Therapy.
Committed to ongoing education, Karolina is pursuing advanced reproductive medicine training through The Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine (ABORM), with the goal of becoming a Fellow next year. She also plans on adding TCM Herbology to her skill set in 2025. At the heart of her practice is Balance Acupuncture, a technique rooted in the most ancient form of acupuncture which is based in meridian diagnosis and treatment. Karolina has studied Balance Acupuncture extensively since 2019 and she became a Certified Jade Level Practitioner in 2021. Karolina’s background is in Holistic Nutrition consultation and before receiving her licence to practise acupuncture Karolina worked as a front-line worker, supporting marginalised communities in Vancouver’s DTES.
Outside the clinic, Karolina finds inspiration through travel, spending much time in nature hiking, camping, snowboarding, swimming, and practising Yin yoga and is constantly driven by the innate magic of life's cycles of movement and stillness.

Pre-birth acupuncture consists of a series of weekly Acupuncture sessions beginning at 36-weeks until the spontaneous onset of labor. During these treatments, we address both your pregnancy complaints, treat baby’s positioning and help prepare for a smooth and efficient labor.

Please book this session if you are seeking acupuncture support for a breech presentation in the third trimester. We recommend beginning this treatment as soon as the breech presentation is discovered — ideally between 34th - 35th week of pregnancy. At this stage, there is still enough time for the baby to turn and early intervention offers the best chances of success. Breech support focuses on acupuncture points that help create more relaxed uterine environment and encourage optimal fetal positioning. This appointment is intended for your first visit related to breech support. Any follow-up treatments can be booked as standard Acupuncture Subsequent Visits unless your practitioner suggests otherwise.
