Karyn believes not only in providing her patients with immediate relief from symptoms but also in treating the root of the problem, helping to produce a long-term solution that reduces pain and dysfunction. She is here to help and wants to be a part of your health care routine.
Karyn has been an RMT for 10 years and is an experienced practitioner who is kind, caring and knowledgeable. She has a strong interest in the nervous system and the role it plays in our pain experience, and pays particular attention to this in treatments allowing her clients to fall into a state of restorative rest. She has experience working with all types of conditions, and has a special interest in working with low back injuries.
Her treatment style is to work with you to find what works best for your path to balance. She has a firm and specific pressure when needed, and is also able to use light techniques when needed. She is comfortable using a variety of techniques such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy, soft tissue release, IASTM, muscle energy, joint mobilizations and Swedish massage to optimize relaxation. Post treatment education and exercises are not only fun and functional but also tailored to the patient’s needs.
She has lived all over BC from the Kootenays, Haida Gwaii, Tofino and Powell River. These days she spends her free time biking, gardening, painting or enjoying a consistent yoga practice.
