Originally from Manchester in England, Kate came to the west coast of Canada 18 years ago and now calls BC "home". After graduating from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2017, Kate worked in massage therapy practices in Squamish and Whistler, before relocating to Powell River with her family in 2020.
Her current style of treatment incorporates traditional Swedish techniques, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, with a specific interest in Craniosacral therapy, cranial massage, decreasing stress, addressing headaches and TMJ issues.
Kate is a trauma informed therapist, and is an ally of the LGBTQ2S community. She enjoys working with all kinds of people and tailors all treatments to the bodies specific needs that day. Kate feels that taking time out of your day to be in your body is a form of physical and mental nourishment, which is an essential component to reducing stress and regulating your nervous system. This is necessary more than ever in our current world.
Kate is a wife, and a mum of two children (5 and 15 years old) and a dog. In her free time she mountain bikes/snowboards depending on the season, and is a regular to resistance training and mobility work. She loves anything true crime, and watching the EPL during the football season.

This is a 60 minute massage therapy treatment for folks who have worked with Brigitte before.
Need a little extra time? Maybe it takes you a bit longer to become present during your treatment. Or, maybe you have an area or two (or three!) that has been bothering your for a while now. 75 minutes is a great choice for those needing a little extra care.
90 minutes is the ultimate treat-ment! This is grand self care time for you to address your treatment goals. This is also ideal for clients who need extra time after their massage to go over home care stretches and exercises to help you recover from injury, or from ongoing dysfunction in the body.

This treatment focuses on relaxation and can help with headaches/migraine, sinus issues, eye strain and jaw clenching or temporomandibular joint dysfunction. This treatment is great for people for work on their feet, runners or people who walk long distances. Or maybe you just love to get your feet massaged! This treatment includes a foot soak, lower leg treatment, hot stone treatment and a custom shea butter.
