SaveKatie has been a practicing orthopaedic and pelvic health physiotherapist in Ontario for over 10 years before venturing to BC and being tempted to stay by the Okanagan lifestyle. While navigating her own struggles with challenging menstrual periods, back pain and persistent pelvic pain, Katie became passionate about pelvic health physiotherapy early on in her career.
During her formal educational years, Katie took a particular interest in anatomy and the connectedness of different structures in the body with the pelvis as a key pillar. She continues to update her skills with courses growing her toolset to help her clients better achieve their goals. Through a tailored approach involving multiple modalities including hands-on manual treatment, acupuncture and exercise, Katie strives to identify the root of her clients’ concerns so they can take control of their health and get back to what they enjoy the most in life.

Katie loves to share her knowledge teaching physiotherapists new to the pelvic health profession and conducting community workshops. She has also presented at a number of cancer-specific events at various Toronto-based hospitals and virtually through the Prostate Cancer Society on the urinary, pain and sexual health impacts of radiation, hormonal therapy or surgery for gynae, breast and prostate cancers. Katie treats all genders(male and female) for a variety of pelvic health conditions including: complex pain and sexual pain (dyspareunia, vaginismus, endometriosis, chronic prostatitis), urinary urgency/frequency, pre and postnatal, post-surgical, post-menopausal and post-cancer care.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time in nature whether it’s on a bike, running, paddleboarding or a leisurely hike with her rescue pup. When presented with the opportunity, Katie loves to explore the underwater world while scuba diving.
