For returning patients seeking an in-home appointment who have already had a pelvic health assessment with the Physiotherapist. If you have a new concern or it has been longer than six months since your last treatment, please instead book in for an assessment.

Book this appointment after your pessary fitting assessment. The required follow-up with your physiotherapist should be booked 2-4 weeks after you start wearing your pessary. After that, it is recommended that you follow up with your physiotherapist or your family doctor for vaginal health scans regularly.

Prior to this appointment you will need to book in for a "Physiotherapy Assessment - Pelvic Health". If at that appointment your physiotherapist determines you are a good candidate for a pessary fitting you can then book your "Pessary Fitting - Initial" appointment. Pessaries are removable medical-grade silicone devices that go into the vagina to treat symptoms of stress urinary incontinence and/or pelvic organ prolapse. Our physiotherapists are trained to determine if you are a suitable candidate for a pessary and to fit you with the appropriate size/shape. The cost to purchase a pessary is not included in this appointment (+$90). If we cannot find an appropriate fit within the one hour appointment an additional follow-up appointment may be needed. After you start wearing your pessary you will require at least one additional follow-up with your physiotherapist.
