Katy Sims, PT
SaveKaty earned a Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto (2015) after completing an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo (2009). While Katy enjoys treating a wide variety of orthopedic conditions, she has particular interest, and advanced training in, vestibular rehabilitation (treating dizziness/imbalance), concussion management and persistent pain.
In recent years Katy has been particularly interested in the treatment of myofascial pain patterns. She uses myoActivation – an innovative approach used to assess and treat myofascial dysfunction and movement impairments, which can be highly effective for a number of sub-acute and chronic pain conditions. Katy is currently licensed and registered to practice with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
