Hello, my name is Kaylan, I am a Pediatric Sleep Specialist, Child and Youth Worker with professional
experience in the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board and the Children’s Aid Society. I also bring
a background in mind-body coaching and holistic wellness, integrating nervous system awareness and
family-centered support into my sleep practice.
I am committed to supporting families through an attachment-based approach to sleep. I prioritize
connection and do not utilize separation-based sleep techniques such as cry it out. Instead, I guide
families using responsive, evidence-informed strategies that protect and strengthen the parent-child
relationship.
I am a proud mom of two beautiful girls. I understand first hand the ups and down of parenting, which
allows me to support families with compassion, encouragement and empathy that truly meets parents
where they are. When I am not supporting families, I enjoy nature walks, meditation, reading, and
cottage weekends with my family.

A free 15 minute consultation which gives you the opportunity to meet your Doula and ask your questions before choosing your care package.
Book this appointment if you have not seen our lactation consultant before. A lactation visit will include the following: History: Health history of both mother and baby, including pregnancy and birth and opportunity for you to tell your story. Weight: Baby’s naked weight + Pre- and post-feeding weights Assessment: Mother’s breasts and nipples, infant’s oral anatomy, latch, positions and more Care plan and next steps: Care plan created together that you are comfortable with + that aligns with your goals. Follow-up visit may be recommended. Some support available through text following our visit.
