Kelly has long been committed to promoting lifelong participation in sport. She grew up competing as a highly competitive synchronized swimmer, she has remained active in the sport for more than two decades and continues to compete today. Throughout her athletic career, Kelly experienced several injuries that resulted in setbacks; however, through the support and expertise of dedicated physiotherapists, she was able to recover and return to competition. These experiences not only shaped her as an athlete, but also inspired her academic path. Synchronized swimming provided the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level in the United States while earning a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Lindenwood University. Motivated by her own rehabilitation journey, she pursued and completed a Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto. Kelly is passionate about using her career as a physical therapist to help individuals of all ages and abilities remain active and engaged in sport throughout their lives.
In addition to her athletic and academic background, Kelly has devoted significant time to supporting athletes with disabilities. She has volunteered with adaptive water-skiing programs, coached synchronized swimming for athletes with disabilities, and completed an internship in a personal training facility specializing in accessible fitness. Kelly is committed to continuing this work and hopes to support individuals with diverse abilities through both her clinical practice and ongoing community involvement.
Kelly excels at integrating each patient’s individual goals with her extensive knowledge of therapeutic exercise and a variety of manual techniques to develop highly personalized treatment plans. She is committed to ongoing professional growth and has obtained certifications in acupuncture, dry needling, and SHIFT Concussion Management (Levels 1 and 2). Kelly looks forward to working with you in the clinic to keep you active and engaged in the activities you enjoy.
