This session is designed for individuals seeking personalized acupuncture treatment through a naturopath, specifically targeting pain management support, stress management support, and those who already have a prior diagnosis. It differs from a 60-minute initial naturopathic assessment, which focuses on identifying root causes and providing an individualized naturopathic treatment plan. The process begins with a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) intake, where your naturopath gathers information about your medical history, symptoms, and lifestyle. This session is particularly focused on addressing acute concerns, and your naturopath may immediately target specific acute acupuncture points for supporting pain management and relaxation. Following the TCM intake, your naturopath proceeds with a pulse and tongue examination to finalize the TCM diagnosis, identifying patterns of disharmony in your body. Subsequently, acute acupuncture points are administered during this session. The naturopath then formulates a personalized acupuncture protocol based on the TCM diagnosis. However, the initiation and detailed implementation of this protocol occur in follow-up visits, separate from this session. In contrast to the 60-minute initial naturopathic assessment, which delves into identifying root causes and creating an individualized treatment plan, this session provides a focused approach to address immediate concerns through acute acupuncture points and lays the groundwork for the subsequent acupuncture protocol in follow-up visits.

This appointment is for new acupuncture patients or who haven not attended acupuncture at our clinic in over a year. A comprehensive intake and thorough assessment will be completed by Krisztina. She will create a personalized treatment plan according to your Chinese Medicine Diagnosis. The treatment can include acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, cupping, auricular seeds, vibration therapy, light/heat therapy or a combination of these modalities, depending on your needs.

This appointment is for new patients seeking cupping therapy only. Please note that while it is billed under Acupuncture, performed by our Registered Acupuncturist, this session does not include Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis and treatment.

A 45 minute follow-up Acupuncture visit for those who have completed the initial assessment and have attended the clinic for acupuncture within the past year. The treatment can include needle-free treatments, acupuncture, cupping, electro-acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, or a combination of these modalities, depending on the patients’ individual needs.
