Welcome! My name is Kyla. I am a registered clinical counsellor (RCC). I am currently a counsellor in the Chilliwack School District where I have worked for 20+ years teaching and counselling. In my clinical practice I enjoy helping children (9+), adolescents and adults navigate through life's challenges. My approach to counselling is grounded in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour therapy (DBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I believe in creating a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their emotions and experiences.

Throughout my career, I have worked with people from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and emotion regulation. I understand that everyone’s journey is unique, and I tailor my counselling techniques to meet each individual’s needs. I focus on building trust and providing tools that empower my clients to heal, grow, and reach their goals.
I believe in ongoing learning and professional development. I regularly participate in workshops and training to stay updated on the latest therapeutic techniques and practices.
Outside of my practice, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, being out in nature and riding horses. This lifestyle helps me maintain balance and perspective in both my personal and professional life.

• Registered Clinical Counsellor in good standing with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (Member #19754).
• Master of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University
