Pelvic health physiotherapy is an emerging area within physiotherapy and urogynecology that involves the assessment and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunctions across the lifespan, including puberty, pregnancy, postpartum, and peri/postmenopausal stages of life. Pelvic floor dysfunctions can present themselves in a variety of ways, including pain, weakness, leakage, and core dysfunction. Pelvic health consultations may or may not involve an internal examination, depending on your pain and comfort levels. Our physiotherapist is committed to working with you to create a treatment plan that works for you!

During your consultation, our physiotherapist tries her best to create a safe space for you to share your pelvic health concerns, which may include bladder leakage, painful sex, or pelvic pain. Pelvic health consultations may or may not involve an internal examination, depending on your pain and comfort levels. Our physiotherapist is committed to working with you to create a treatment plan that works for you!
This appointment is meant for pregnant mothers and parents who are wanting to review their birth preferences, and/or labour and birthing strategies. This should be booked between weeks 34-38 of pregnancy.
This appointment is specific for pregnant mothers & expectant parents that would like to learn about optimizing their birth experience through strategies like labour positioning, pain management, and pushing techniques. If you're scheduled to have a cesarean section, you will learn how to optimize your birth and recovery experience. Our physiotherapist uses your birth preferences, and the information guidelines from the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada and Association of Midwives of Ontario to inform your consultation.This session should be booked between weeks 28-32 of pregnancy.
This appointment focuses on the hands-on techniques for pregnant mothers and birthing partners to practice labour positioning, pain management, as well as breathing and pushing techniques. This session should be booked when you're between weeks 32-34 of pregnancy.
This initial consultation is dedicated to assessing your musculoskeletal concerns, including joint pain, nerve pain, and persistent pain conditions. In your consultation, our physiotherapist will carefully assess how your nervous and musculoskeletal systems function. This may involve you moving through different functional movements to assess your breathing, muscle activation, strength, and flexibility. Our physiotherapist does their best to consider your pain and comfort levels so as to not exacerbate your symptoms, and they are committed to working with you to create a treatment plan that works for you!
Acupuncture only. This is a service that is available to current physiotherapy patients that have demonstrated the ability to maintain their exercise program. This provides an alternative for pain relief that helps build on the effects of your exercise program. If you're interested in this service, please book an initial consultation with our Physiotherapist. This service can be covered under your health benefits through physiotherapy coverage.
Must be a chiropractic patient at Peridot Wellness and have Pilates as part of your treatment plan.
Semi-private reformer Pilates. Please book this if you have two people to take class. If one participate does not show the full amount will still be charged as both reformers have been reserved for you. It is up to the pair to decide how to proceed. Please book this if you would like to pay for the full session for both you and your guest.
