Lara Tisseur is a licensed Acupuncturist, holding an Acupuncture Diploma from the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver. Before finding her place in Chinese Medicine, Lara earned a Bachelor’s degree of Arts with an Environmental Specialty Certificate at Simon Fraser University.
Her journey into Chinese Medicine grew out of her own personal experiences over 20 years ago, when she was pregnant with a breech baby. TCM helped to turn her breech baby which started a profound interest and journey into health and Chinese Medicine.
Lara is passionate about working with patients to help them better understand their health and its role in providing a balanced, healthy and empowered quality of life. Her passion is focused on reproductive health and fertility, including preconception health care, Pregnancy, Post Partum, PCOS, Endometriosis, Miscarriage, Irregularity in cycles, Unexplained Infertility, Male Factor Infertility, IVF (In-Vitro Fertilization) support and IUI (Intrauterine Insemination) support. She enjoys working with patients who are concurrently undergoing fertility treatments to bring their dreams into reality. She spent many years supporting IVF patients with acupuncture by going on site to fertility clinics in Vancouver on their special day of embryo transfer. She also has special interests in pain management, mental health, facial rejuvenation, natural anti-aging and preventative care. Lara creates customized treatment plans working in partnership with her patients to provide treatments to achieve their health goals.
Lara enjoys helping patients achieve wellness by discovering the patient’s unique needs, primary issues and areas of imbalance. She balances the body using acupuncture and other Traditional Chinese Medicine therapies such as Acupuncture, Cupping, Moxibustion, Electro stimulation acupuncture (EA), Auricular-EAR Acupuncture and Facial Rejuvenation. Lara aims to set newcomers to acupuncture at ease by explaining the process in a language that you can understand. A huge believer in work-life balance, she derives tremendous satisfaction from helping patients achieve their own health goals that will ultimately improve their overall quality of life.

Cosmetic Acupuncture Initial Cosmetic Acupuncture is a safe, non-surgical and drug-free way to reduce the signs of aging. This holistic anti-aging treatment addresses the balance of the whole body, helping you to feel younger in addition to looking younger. Treatments are normally 1 per week, based on the patients constitution and goals. For a course of 10-12 treatments with 10 treatments being the average There are contraindications to Cosmetic Acupuncture: - A bleeding disorder. - Problems with bruising or clotting. - Former cosmetic surgery case. (No Cosmetic Acupuncture for 3 weeks post any laser procedure) (No Cosmetic Acupuncture for 1 week post any botox treatment) - Pituitary disease, tumour, or Cushing's. - High blood pressure. - Migraines. - Diabetes. - History of seizures or epilepsy.- Cancer. - AIDS. - Heart disease. - Cosmetic Acupuncture should not be done on any bruised, lacerated, or ulcerated tissue. - Pregnancy. - During cold or flu. - Herpes outbreak. - Or during an allergic reaction.
