Laura Notton

Laura holds a Master of Social Work with a specialization in Health and Mental Health from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Social Work from Toronto Metropolitan University. Laura’s therapeutic approach is informed by principles of interpersonal neurobiology, supporting clients in cultivating more self-compassion, resilience, and well-being in their lives and relationships.

Laura’s training includes Internal Family Systems, Relational Cultural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, mindfulness-based therapies, life coaching, sound healing, restorative yoga, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, which is a therapeutic approach that integrates body awareness into traditional talk therapy, particularly for the treatment of trauma and emotional issues.

Laura is passionate about the healing power of music and hosts sound bath events throughout the community. She has developed sound-based psychotherapeutic workshops addressing anxiety, depression, and the importance of boundaries. Laura’s expertise has led her to facilitate group sound bath experiences and workshops for institutions like the Rotman School of Management, the Government of Ontario, community healthcare centres, yoga studios, retail establishments, and private retreats.

In her leisure time, Laura sings in her sound healing band, channeling her love for sound and music. She also loves cycling around the township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands or canoeing in the area.
