Laurel is a BC Registered Acupuncturist, Certified Chinese Astrology Consultant, Western clinical and community herbalist, and scholar of Classical Chinese Medicine.
Her practice, founded in 2010, is situated on syilx territories in Penticton and Keremeos, and she works with organizations and communities around BC.
Laurel's education in East Asian medicine spans 25 years: starting with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctorate diploma in 2000, followed by mentorships in Acudetox, Koryo Hand Therapy, Japanese acupuncture and moxibustion, Master Tung, Balance System Acupuncture, and Chinese Astrology and metaphysics.
Laurel enjoys working in diverse settings and with a diversity of needs. With a background in advocacy, outreach and harm reduction, she has created dozens of acupuncture programs for hospitals, public health clinics, First Nations communities, and non profit organizations.
Laurel likes to dig deep. She takes the time to listen to people who may feel they have hit a wall in conventional medical systems. She is motivated to help people feel better, no matter how simple or complex the issue.
Concerns she sees regularly include injury and pain, stress, sleep disturbances, internal medicine (ie digestive, cardiovascular, respiratory, hormonal, reproductive, allergies, autoimmune conditions), smoking cessation and addictions, scar reduction, facial rejuvenation, and side effects of medical treatments.

This is a lower cost, small group acupuncture session in a "zero gravity" recliner. Please wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing with easy access from the elbows and knees down to the hands and feet. This is important for best results! Leggings, stockings, or tight jeans would not be appropriate. Due to the group setting, this offering is for acupuncture only. Additional modalities such as cupping, moxibustion, tui na or gua sha require a private appointment. Your visit will take place outdoors in a public setting at the Penticton Night Market - as such we cannot control the surrounding environment, please be prepared for any weather. While it is Okanagan summer, if you think it might be cool or windy at your appointment time, please bring a blanket or two! Your appointment is one hour including short intake. Afterwards, it is recommended to take it easy and not to plan anything stressful or strenuous for the rest of the day. Instead, get ready to feel relaxed and renewed.
