Leah Pedis
Leah Pedis is a Strength & Rehabilitation Coach and the Founder of LKP Training, offering both in-person and online coaching. She graduated with honours from the Fitness and Health Promotion program at Algonquin College in 2019, combining a lifelong passion for science, movement, and understanding the human body with hands-on coaching experience.
A competitive rugby player for over 13 years, Leah played varsity rugby at Algonquin College, earning silver and gold championship titles along with multiple individual recognitions, including Athlete of the Year, Team All-Star, and MVP awards. Her athletic background began long before post-secondary education, having grown up playing sports and living an active lifestyle. Her pursuit of weight training originally stemmed from a desire to become stronger and more resilient for rugby — a passion that ultimately shaped her career path.

Leah’s journey has been shaped not only by athletic success, but also by adversity. She underwent ACL and meniscus reconstruction on both knees in 2021 and 2022, experiences that deeply influenced her approach to training and rehabilitation. Navigating her own rehab process allowed her to develop a thorough understanding of injury recovery and the importance of foundational strength, intentional movement, and long-term sustainability. During this time, Leah also worked in a physiotherapy clinic, assisting clients with rehabilitation exercises while expanding her knowledge of injury management and recovery strategies alongside her own return to sport.
Professionally, Leah has coached clients in commercial gym and clinical settings, supporting a wide range of goals including strength development, weight loss, mobility improvement, and injury rehabilitation. She also works as a group fitness coach, leading high-energy HIIT classes and thriving in the community-driven atmosphere of helping diverse populations move and feel better together.
Since graduating, Leah has continued to invest in her education, including completing the Pain-Free Performance Specialist course, which emphasizes training around pain, movement efficiency, and injury resilience. She has also completed Bars & Belles, a program focused on empowering individuals through confident, technically sound strength training. Leah believes that rehabilitation is not separate from strength training, but rather an integral part of building a strong, capable, and durable body.
Leah’s coaching philosophy centres on helping people move well, build confidence, and remain active without limitations. Her own injuries have given her a deep appreciation for the critical role physical activity plays in both physical and mental health, and she is passionate about guiding others through setbacks while empowering them to continue doing what they love.
Outside of the clinic, Leah enjoys walking her dog, playing rugby, weight training, snowboarding, spending time outdoors, and being with friends and family. Living an active, healthy, and pain-free lifestyle is a core value in her life — and one she strives to help every client achieve as they work toward their full potential.
