I’m a Registered Massage Therapist with over 20 years of clinical experience, offering therapeutic bodywork through my home-based practice, Leanne's Massage, in Sherwood Park, Alberta. I earned my diploma in Massage Therapy from the Edmonton College of Swedish Relaxation Massage in 2004 and have maintained registration in the province of Alberta ever since.
Authorized to direct bill for most health insurance policies and is also experienced in managing motor vehicle accident (MVA) claims. My practice focuses on therapeutic and deep tissue massage, with specialization in:
-Chronic pain management
-Injury recovery and rehabilitation
-Stress relief and emotional regulation
-Prenatal massage
-TMJ (temporomandibular joint dysfunction)
-Hot stone massage
Incorporating a variety of advanced techniques, including fire cupping, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release. My ongoing commitment to continuing education has led to additional certifications in the treatment of migraines, TMJ dysfunction, and, most recently, shoulder joint dysfunction.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in a deep respect for the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit. I believe that massage therapy is not just about relieving tension, but about empowering individuals to live more fully in their bodies. Through education on mobility, stress management, and body awareness, she supports her clients in maintaining long-term wellness.

A massage style that is directed toward the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia. This massage focuses on your specific needs working through several layers of muscles, releasing trigger points, knots, muscle spasms and rope-like muscle tension. It is designed to release the tension and pain that hinders your day-to-day activities and help bring back a sense of well-being. This is not a full body massage modality, but can be incorporated into a full body session. Not recommended for a first time massage.

A combination of massage movements and negative pressure. A cup is positioned at the area to be treated and a vacuum is created within the cup to draw the skin and underlying tissue into the cup. The produced vacuum creates a suction effect that increases blood and lymphatic circulation systemically and to the local area, relaxes muscle tissue and support, draws stagnation, pathogenic factors and toxins out of the body and releases a myriad of pain causing factors. The intended suction can range from light to heavy. This, along with the movements performed and areas treated by the therapist will produce stimulating (toning) or sedating (draining) effects. Please discuss the treatment with your therapist so they employ the proper application of the cups to produce the desired outcome.

Temporal Mandibular Joint Dysfunction Massage is a massage to the external and internal muscles of the jaw - the TemporalMandibular Joint or TMJ. Our Therapist will also treat the head, scalp, neck, arms and upper back. Prior To treatment You will be Assessed and Treatment will be based on those findings and your concerns.
