Leigha understands that healing is a personal, vulnerable experience and that trusting and feeling seen by your practitioner is the first step. As a queer, neurodivergent practitioner she is dedicated to creating an inclusive, trauma informed, safe space to help support her patients on their own healing journey.
Leigha graduated in 2019 from the Registered Acupuncturist program at Kootenay Columbia College of Integrative Health Sciences (KCCIHS) in Nelson BC after completing over 2000 hours of academic studies and 500 clinical hours. For their final project they develop a research paper on “The Advantages of Incorporating Traditional Chinese Medicine into Modern Day Treatment of Patients Who Have Experienced Childhood Trauma”.
Her areas of special interest include overall nervous system regulation, mental health, chronic pain and illness, digestive health, and reproductive health disorders that affect people with uteruses. One of her favourite things about the philosophies of Acupuncture/Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is the holistic approach it uses to understand and treat everyone as an individual.
In her free time Leigha enjoy's singing, live music and shows, dancing, thrifting, connecting with nature, spending quality time with her cat Phoebe and loved ones.
