She offers a full-body, holistic approach to healing, honouring the connection between mind, body, and spirit while treating each person as a whole.
Her journey with shockwave therapy began over 10 years ago after she suffered from Morton’s neuroma, a painful nerve condition that the medical system could only offer to correct through surgery. After just three shockwave treatments, her nerve pain disappeared completely — and never returned. That experience changed the direction of her work. She knew immediately that this was a modality she needed to bring to others.

At the time, Lianne did not purchase a shockwave machine right away. British Columbia is the only province where RMTs cannot offer shockwave therapy within their massage therapy scope of practice, despite having some of the most comprehensive education in the country. Determined to do things properly, Lianne contacted the College of Massage Therapists of BC to ask whether she could offer shockwave therapy outside of her RMT practice. Their answer was yes — and the journey began.
What started with one significant investment into a single machine has now grown into Shockwave Specialists, with four machines and a team of practitioners trained personally by Lianne. The results have been profound. Many patients arrive after years of pain, frustration, and limited answers. Often, after even one treatment, they experience relief so significant it brings them to tears — because for the first time in years, they can imagine getting their life back.
Shockwave Specialists was born from Lianne’s genuine passion for helping others heal. Her treatment style is proprietary, highly specific, and unlike anything found elsewhere. Bodywork Therapy combines therapeutic massage techniques with subtle energy work, to promote whole body healing. Our sessions are designed to relieve muscle tension, improve pain-free mobility, enhance relaxation, and restore balance and regulation to both the body, and the nervous system.
