SaveI have more than 30 years of working with children, youth, adults/families and also a PhD candidate at the University of Alberta. I am also a registered Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist. I am authorized to direct bill under (most) health insurance benefit plans (including Alberta Blue Cross).
Counselling/psychotherapy integrates a broad range of theories and I sought advanced training or certification in a number of therapies including emotionally focused therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, art/play therapy, attachment and trauma (historical/complex) treatment, analytical psychology, mindfulness, suicide risk and threat assessment. I also incorporate critical thinking into my practice so that individual values/beliefs and cultural perspectives can be integrated.
