Lindsay Brown is a Registered Physiotherapist who practices Neurological, Pelvic Floor and Orthopedic Physiotherapy. After completing her Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology from Wilfrid Laurier University, Lindsay earned her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Western Ontario.
Over her 11 years of private, public, and community clinical practice, Lindsay has provided physical therapy treatment to clients with an extensive range of medical, trauma, neurological, and orthopedic conditions.
Most specifically, Lindsay is a Bobath-trained Physiotherapist. The Bobath Concept is the most highly recognized approach to the assessment and treatment of individuals with neurological conditions, which include but are not limited to stroke, spinal cord injuries, traumatic or acquired brain injuries, and Multiple Sclerosis. The Bobath Concept uses principles of neuroplasticity, skilled manual facilitation, and an understanding of motor control to treat the entire neurological system. Lindsay also uses this approach and these principles to treat various orthopedic conditions.
In addition to her Bobath training, Lindsay has also completed post-graduate education in vestibular and concussion rehabilitation, NOI treatment principles for pain and neurodynamics, pelvic floor physiotherapy and pulmonary rehabilitation. Lindsay is an advocate for treating her clients holistically and is committed to continuing her post-graduate clinical education, which enables her to successfully work together with her clients to achieve their personalized and specific goals.
When she’s not in the clinic, Lindsay enjoys being out in nature, playing fastpitch and golfing. She is a devoted Toronto Blue Jays and Green Bay Packers fan!
