Lokman received his undergraduate degree in Physical Education at the University of Toronto. He followed his passion of understanding the human body and rehabilitation by completing his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University. Since becoming a registered physiotherapist in 2014, Lokman has worked in various out-patient clinics, with a focus in treating complex musculoskeletal dysfunctions. He is passionate about gaining insight into the human body and how dysfunction leads to pain.
Lokman has continued to expand his knowledge and manual skills by pursuing further education. He is level 3 certified in Neurokinetic therapy, and has completed courses in: acupuncture, management of dizziness, vestibular dysfunction, and post-concussion rehabilitation, treatment and assessment of temporomandibular joint dysfunctions, and the Mulligan Concept. Lokman had taken cranial-sacral level 1 & 2 from the Upledger institute in the past year as well.
Lokman believes in thorough assessment of functional movement patterns, myofascial dysfunction and understanding of client-centered goals in order to identify the origin of pain and provide effective and personalized treatment. His treatments include hands-on soft tissue mobilization and manipulation, coupled with therapeutic exercises and education, to optimize client wellness and health outcomes.
Lokman is fluent in Cantonese Chinese and English.
