Lori Race began her post secondary career in the area of health and fitness, graduating with honors from the University of Victoria’s Kinesiology program in 1996. After working as a personal trainer and an exercise rehabilitation specialist for several years, she found herself longing for more in her career. After meeting a wonderful mentor who was an Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner, Lori decided to take a leap into alternative medicine. A natural and intuitive healer, Lori has been successfully practicing Acupuncture in Victoria B.C, for over twenty-five years. Her background in human movement and as a collegiate and university level athlete allow her an intimate understanding of the human body and her gifts as an empathetic and gentle listener and teacher make her a sought after practitioner in the city.
Lori has trained extensively with top orthopaedic Acupuncturist, Matt Callison in the area of pain and muscle & joint dysfunction. She has also spent many hours studying women's health with a specific focus on gynecology, fertility and obstetrics working with such esteemed leaders in the fields as Randine Lewis, Debra Betts and Jane Lyttleton.
