Her areas of specialty include: life transitions, finding new ways to manage depression, anxiety,

and emotions, women’s mental health, relationship issues, extended family conflict, post-

separation/divorce, coping with grief, health issues including living with cancer, and navigating

parenting difficulties with young and adult children.

Lynda uses creativity, humour, and understanding to help you work through challenges. Her

approach is eclectic, client-centred, and psychodynamic. She draws on various therapeutic

modalities including relational psychology, CBT, DBT, EFFT, and mindfulness.

Lynda is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO #006746).

She has a Bachelor of Journalism degree from Carleton University (where she learned to be

professionally curious about people’s stories). Her psychotherapy training has developed from

her lifelong study of relationships and patterns, a Master’s of Arts degree in Educational

Psychology from Dalhousie University, doctoral training at Harvard University in the Graduate

School of Education, and ongoing training in clinical therapy.
