Lynne has been a Registered Massage Therapist for over 20 years. She is a graduate of the 3000 hr West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Vancouver, BC in 2001.
Her other studies have included a Bachelor of Health Science degree, Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Yoga (500+hrs). She is continually advancing her education through workshops involving mindfulness, myofascial release and has a new interest in somatics.
She has also instructed and practiced as a clinical supervisor at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy (Victoria) for several years before her move up island. Lynne established The Solace Centre in 2007 here in Nanaimo.
Lynne incorporates Myofascial Techniques, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Release, Reiki and Breath work in her treatments. Through her experience as an RMT and Yoga Teacher, she finds it most effective to treat musculature as a whole. She respects evidence based research and keeps an open mind in her approach to treatments.

Choose this service if you are looking to treat a pathology or acute injury/trauma. MLD improves lymph flow, reduces inflammation, accelerates wound healing, and reduces pain & swelling due to excessive accumulation of lymph fluid in the superficial tissues. Conditions that may benefit from treatment include whiplash, burns, migraines, tinnitus, CRPS, stroke, sprains/strains, knee replacement, cruciate ligament repair, frozen shoulder and hip pathologies. This treatment includes MLD using the Dr. Vodder technique. No oils are used in traditional MLD. A Custom Therapeutic Treatment combining advanced massage techniques include a combination of: buccal massage, craniosacral therapy, european face massage, lymphatic drainage, and fascial work to reduce stress and tension and improve facial balance. RMT Insurance Receipts are available for this treatment.
Choose this service if you are looking for a focused treatment on either the face or abdomen. This treatment includes MLD using Dr. Vodder technique, and finishes with lymphatic massage using luxurious oils, suitable for all skin types and sensitive skin. We offer red light therapy for the duration of your session. Face: MLD reduces fluid retention and improves circulation, while red light therapy improves collagen production, skin tone and texture, and reduces fine lines and wrinkles over time. This treatment includes the use of red light sonic vibration on the face. * MLD can be helpful in the treatment of chronic acne. A series of sessions may be recommended depending on your specific needs * Abdomen: MLD reduces excessive accumulation of superficial lymph fluid, promotes detoxification in the gut, and may be helpful in alleviating constipation.
This 30 minute follow up treatment is available to clients who have previously had an initial 60 or 90 min session. If you book this option as your initial session, your appointment will be cancelled. 30 minute treatments are great for focusing on one area of concern, or if you would like to support your lymphatic health with shorter sessions more regularly. 30 minute sessions are also appropriate for applying (or re-applying) lymphatic tape. Additional cost of $5-$15 dollars will apply for lymph taping if requested.
