Maciek completed his MSc in Physiotherapy at the University of Alberta in 2021. He specializes in running- and skiing-related injuries and performance. His approach integrates education, functional goal setting, tissue loading, and movement optimism to support long-term, sustainable outcomes and a successful return to sport. Maciek has led research on injury prevention and policy in youth sports, making him an expert in evidence-based, client-centered care. His experience as a team captain for the University of Calgary Dinos Track and Field Team has strengthened his communication and leadership skills, helping him optimize both individual and team performance. Outside of clinical and research settings, Maciek enjoys running, climbing, skiing, and constantly seeking out new sports like golf to challenge himself with.

For patients recovering from ACL surgery. In your post-operative assessment, the therapist will review initial post-operative care and provide treatment and education for the acute stages of recovery. By the end of your session, you will have a clean recovery plan for your goals.

In your acute knee injury assessment the therapist will determine the nature of the knee injury and functional status, provide education for the acute stages of recovery, make appropriate referral for sports medicine and orthopaedic consult, and begin initial conservative management to reduce pain and restore function. By the end of your assessment, you will have a clear understanding of the recovery process and timelines.

Concussion assessment involves a detailed objective assessment of the vestibular, visual, and cognitive systems that work together for daily function and sport. Following a head injury or whiplash.
