Marcel graduated from Dalhousie University in 2008 with a Masters in Physiotherapy. He has a special interest in shoulder rehabilitation, having taken multiple continuing education courses in this field. In, 2019, he developed a shoulder pilot program with the support of the Workers Compensation Board of PEI. Results were positive, with a significantly higher return to work rate for injured workers. Marcel also has taken continuing education courses in manual therapy, and for rehabilitation of the temperomandibular joint, neck, upper and lower back, hip, and knee.

Following this, the Physiotherapist may suggest that an internal evaluation of the pelvic floor musculature is indicated. This will involve digital palpation of the internal pelvic floor muscles to assess for pain, muscle strength, control and/or prolapse.
