AjouterMaria grew up in Medicine Hat, Alberta, where she spent more time reading books than moving her body. By high school, her mother recognized the need for more movement and enrolled Maria in a yoga class. She fell in love and has practiced and studied yoga ever since, completing trainings in vinyasa and yin. While yoga was the doorway to movement for Maria, she discovered strength training a few years later and is passionate about the ways that the two practices compliment one another.

This passion fueled an interest in the human body and a desire to help people move sustainably in whatever ways they love or need to. Maria connected these dots and eventually decided to pursue a career in Massage Therapy, completing her diploma at Mount Royal University. She believes in effective, proactive treatment and the combination of movement and manual therapy as medicine.
