Maria is a registered massage therapist who completed her studies at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy here in Halifax. Her treatment approach combines deep tissue and myofascial techniques with deep relaxation to increase benefits of treatment and aid in release throughout the body. Maria is also a fitness instructor and uses this knowledge to approach her massage practice from an all-encompassing standpoint.
Maria was born and raised in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia, and loves spending time outside enjoying everything the province has to offer. You can find her cycling, hiking, camping, and trail running when not at work, and she’s always happy to share her favourite trail recommendations!

This approach of abdominal massage is based on the work of Dr. Rosita Arvigo and traditional Maya healers to address menstrual, reproductive and digestive imbalances. The treatment consists of a non-invasive external massage of your entire abdomen, back, hips and sacrum. The first visit begins with a comprehensive exploration of your personal health story and includes a demonstration on how to perform a self-abdominal massage.
Over the course of her career, Jenn has developed a love for building relationships with clients that encompass trust and wellness. She believes in the power of creating a supportive physical conversation with your muscular and connective tissue concerns. You can expect her treatments to engage your body in a challenging way to evoke change, but to respect that each body is unique and requires an approach that reflects these qualities. Jenn’s treatment repertoire includes myofascial stretching, trigger point release, deep tissue techniques, and craniosacral therapy. Whether you are contending with a specific injury, work-related postural strain, headaches, or simply wanting to encourage tissue health moving forward, Jenn can work with you to support positive outcomes.
For first time clients, this booking has time built in for the initial assessment with your therapist. This means your 60 minute treatment is exactly that - time spent on the treatment table receiving hands-on care.
During this therapeutic treatment the client will be fully clothed and seated comfortably in a massage chair. Please ensure you have completed the Heath History form by following the link provided in your booking confirmation email.
