Maria Pereira, is a proactive and caring resident physiotherapist who has always been fascinated with the science of the human body and driven to pursue a career centered on health and wellness. She holds a Master of Health Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Indianapolis, USA.
With diverse international clinical experience, across various countries, she brings a well-rounded, evidence-based approach to patient care. Her expertise spans working with adults, pediatric and the geriatric population, treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. She is skilled in applying hands-on manual therapy techniques, Kinesiology taping, designing individualized functional exercise programs, and providing patient education to promote optimal recovery and long-term wellness.
Maria has also gained valuable experience working in school settings across various states and school boards in the United States, where she played an important role in empowering young individuals to improve their mobility, independence and confidence through tailored therapeutic interventions using a play-based approach.
