Mark is a graduate of the University of British Columbia’s Physiotherapy program, class of 1994. He is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (MCPA) and Sport Physiotherapy Canada. Additionally, he has completed post-graduate studies in Manual Therapy (Level 3 certification) and a Diploma in Sport Physiotherapy (Dip. Sport PT).
Mark has owned Excel Physiotherapy since 1996. He has a passion for helping people recover from injury, educate them on injury prevention and enjoys the challenges that his profession brings. He has been very active in the local sporting community working with a number of teams and at numerous events. Mark has been team Physiotherapist for the UBC Men’s Varsity Basketball Team, Maple Ridge Burrards Lacrosse Club, Coquitlam Express Junior A Hockey Team, SFU Wrestling, and as a consultant for a number of teams in the National and Western Lacrosse League. Furthermore, he has worked at the Commonwealth Games, Western Canada Games and at numerous track and field, triathlons and running events.
Mark specializes in treating Sports Medicine injuries, with a focus in running, hockey, soccer, golf and triathlon injuries. In addition, he has helped numerous people recover from work related and motor vehicle injuries
Mark and his family are long term residents of Coquitlam and are involved in many community programs.
Mark is also an avid runner, completing 30 marathons, 3 Ironman Triathlons, The Ride to Conquer Cancer and numerous other events. When he isn’t busy working or spending time with his family, he enjoys catching up with friends on the golf course.

This comprehensive assessment includes an evaluation of your balance, inner ear (vestibular) system, eye movements, neck, and functional mobility to determine the cause of your symptoms. A personalized treatment plan will be developed to help reduce dizziness, improve balance, and restore your confidence with daily activities.
