Mark has been in practice since 1990 and is widely recognized as a skilled, compassionate practitioner and educator in craniosacral therapy and its related osteopathic manual practices—including visceral manipulation, myofascial release, joint mobilization, and matrix repatterning.
With more than 32 years of experience and thousands of infant and pediatric treatments, Mark has developed extensive expertise in supporting infants, children, and families.
Mark graduated Summa Cum Laude from McMaster University in 1988 with an Honours B.A. in Philosophy, along with substantial coursework toward a B.Sc. He went on to complete his training at the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy in 1990. He later taught anatomy and physiology at the college and developed and instructed a self-care course for massage therapists. Mark has also assisted in teaching numerous craniosacral therapy courses for the Upledger Institute and the Cranial Therapy Centre with Robert Harris.
Dedicated to lifelong learning, Mark has pursued advanced training in a wide range of osteopathic manual therapy (OMT) modalities, including Craniosacral Therapy, Strain/Counterstrain, Myofascial Release, Fascial Trains, Visceral Manipulation, Muscle Energy Techniques, Joint Mobilization, Applied Kinesiology, Neuromuscular Therapy, Ergonomics, SomatoEmotional Release, Psychotherapeutic Bodywork, Progressive Muscle Relaxation, Therapeutic Touch, Pediatric Therapy, Working with Special Children, and Patient Active Treatment Approaches. Most recently, he completed a year-long practitioner program in Matrix Repatterning with Dr. George Roth.
Outside of his professional life, Mark is the proud father of two adult daughters and a grandfather to two grandsons. He is also an avid outdoor enthusiast and adventure cyclist.

This follow up is for ages 0-14 years.

Treatment may include craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, myofascial release, joint mobilization and matrix repatterning. This can help to assist with birth issues, tongue tie problems, breastfeeding challenges, plagiocephaly, digestive or colic issues, autoimmune disorders, sports injuries and more.
For patients looking for treatment of infant feeding concerns (breast health concerns such as blocked ducts, pre/post tongue/lip tie release/frenectomy, torticollis, etc). You and/or your infant will receive a complete history taking, discussion of challenges and goals, and an in-depth physical exam and treatment plan. NOTE: this is a physiotherapy appointment, not an appointment with an IBCLC and all advice given will be within the physiotherapy scope of practice. PLEASE BOOK THIS APPOINTMENT UNDER THE PATIENT'S NAME WHO WILL BE TREATED (i.e. create a new profile for your child and book the appointment under their name if we are addressing torticollis, body tension, tongue tie release prep, etc.)
