**Approach to Treatment:**
Marlee’s treatment begins with a brief discussion on goals and previous injuries and/or background, followed by hands-on assessment in order to identify the cause of the issue you may be having. Marlee will apply broad, firm compressions to assess where your body might be holding areas of tension. Her treatments incorporate targeted therapeutic techniques and appropriate pressure, adjusting based on how your body responds.
Marlee also incorporates neurofunctional acupuncture when appropriate which targets specific muscles, nerves, and connective tissues to help reduce pain, improve muscle function, enhance mobility and support recovery from long and short term injuries. As an athlete herself, Marlee has experienced the effects acupuncture can have on recovery and injury prevention, which is why she is passionate about using it to help other athletes.
Treatments aim to address musculoskeletal issues as well as promote relaxation and a space for your nervous system to finally breathe. Marlee believes that ongoing treatment should adapt to whatever your body needs at that time. You set the tone and Marlee will guide the treatment.
