Marvin is a dedicated physiotherapist with a diverse educational background and a passion for helping others. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the U of A and later pursued a Master’s in Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. His professional journey began in the Australian physiotherapy scene, where he honed a broad range of skills before returning to his hometown of Edmonton.
Marvin's approach to physiotherapy is shaped by his deep interest in human anatomy and physiology, combined with a love for sports and strength training. He believes in establishing strong connections with his patients and prioritizes building trust while actively listening to their concerns. His treatment philosophy revolves around creating a collaborative rehabilitation partnership tailored to each patient's unique needs.
Utilizing a Multifactorial Active Rehab Style, Marvin focuses on restoring strength and alleviating pain through a combination of techniques such as soft tissue release, joint mobilization, exercise rehabilitation, and corrective strengthening. He also specializes in rehab and programming related to badminton and powerlifting, reflecting his diverse interests and expertise.
Outside of his professional commitments, Marvin is an avid outdoor enthusiast. He enjoys activities like hiking, camping, bouldering, skiing, and playing badminton. Additionally, he indulges in hobbies like powerlifting, car detailing, exploring Chinese philosophy, and appreciating specialty coffee.
