Hello! I am Mary, a Registered Massage Therapist excited to be a part of Arbutus Massage Therapy.
I graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria in 2010 and since then I have practiced in both clinic and spa settings in BC and Ontario. Most recently, I practiced at Reach Health in Sidney, BC for the past 7.5 years. Prior to becoming an RMT, I earned a BA in
Kinesiology spending my summers and a few years after tree planting and travelling. I am happy to be settling in the beautiful Comox Valley, keen to explore the outdoors and become part of the community.
My treatments are attentive and I enjoy providing a relaxing environment while working with you to achieve your therapeutic goals. I welcome folks seeking relief from persistent pain, support
during injury recovery and relaxation to experience what massage therapy has to offer. I offer patient centered care by building a therapeutic relationship with each person, fostering a sense of resilience and tailoring the treatment and homecare to your specific concerns. I use a variety
of techniques to help achieve therapeutic goals including deep tissue, general Swedish, range of motion, stretching and fascial techniques. Some folks respond well to firm pressure and some do better with a lighter touch - I am happy to provide either (or both within the same treatment). We will find what works best for you!
