Mats is currently a Kinesiology student at Camosun College. Though he is a student, he has been working with and treating clients since 2024 through his alternative, and holistic approach to health.
Originally from Costa Rica, Mats has lived in Victoria since he was four, and has been playing soccer since he could walk. With experience in town with the Pacific FC youth academy, as well as currently captaining the U23 Vic West division 1 men’s team, soccer is what sparked his interest in the human body.
After years of injuries and countless mainstream approaches tried, Mats decided to dig deeper. Starting self led study in 2022 and continuing to experiment on how to optimize his health every day through movement, nutrition, and lifestyle habits.
Mats’ practice focuses on whole body integration from the feet up, paying special attention to the body’s connective tissue. Chasing the root-cause of your concern is top of priority for Mats. He achieves this through a natural, and integrated approach, aiming to build lifelong lifestyle habits to support your health in the long run, not just mask symptoms.
