(he/him) Matt is a Dalhousie physiotherapy graduate from ‘97. He began his physiotherapy practice in southwest Nova Scotia and operated his own practice for 15 years before moving to Ontario 6 years ago.
Matt is a firm believer in you participating in your own health and rehabilitation. He feels there is no one solution to feeling better. And with 24 years of experience he can optimize your health and well being by utilizing self management strategies.
Matt appreciates that different people require different tools to see improvement. Whether that be hands on manual therapy, specific exercise prescription, or education by helping you understand what the issues are. Matt will take the time to insure you know how to move forward and help set your personal goals and help you deal with pain.
By identifying the underlying pain causing factors such as chronic muscle imbalances, postural issues, or movement dysfunctions, Matt will help you restore your normal activity and function one step and a time.
When he’s able to find some time Matt hopes to shoot bogey golf over 18 holes, grunts like Nadal on the tennis court, and enjoys a little scuba diving in water warmer than 20 degrees.
