Matthew primarily works from an Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) approach, helping clients explore emotional patterns, unmet needs, and attachment experiences that influence self-esteem and relationships. Through this process, clients learn to relate to themselves with greater compassion and to engage more authentically with others.

He also integrates Cognitive Behavioural and attachment-based strategies to support practical coping and lasting change. Matthew specializes in working with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, and periods of life transition.
With a background in hospital-based psychosocial oncology, Matthew brings a deep understanding of resilience, identity, and the emotional impact of uncertainty. His style is warm, thoughtful, and collaborative, offering a space where clients feel both supported and gently challenged in their growth.

Assessments vary in length; from 2 hours to upwards of 4 hours. Please be prepared to attend the duration of the session as it will be adjusted accordingly. Suggested start time for assessments is in the morning around 10am.
Meet & Greet must be attended by the potential client(s). If there are multiple people to attend, please indicate this in the additional information section.
