About Megan
Meg is a BCAK Certified Kinesiologist with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Victoria. Passionate about helping people move better, recover from injury, and stay active for life, Meg combines evidence-based exercise therapy with a personalized approach to rehabilitation and performance.
During her studies at UVic, Meg taught and tutored anatomy and physiology at the university level, building an exceptional understanding of human movement and biomechanics that now forms the foundation of her clinical practice.
Meg has worked with a wide range of clients, including varsity athletes, para-athletes, active adults, and older adults recovering from injury or mobility limitations. Her experience includes helping individuals manage chronic pain, sports injuries, balance and mobility concerns, and age-related movement challenges. She believes that quality movement is one of the most powerful tools for improving health, preventing injury, and supporting healthy aging.
As a former competitive figure skater, Meg has a particular interest in treating individuals with hypermobility and the unique demands of flexibility-based sports. She enjoys working with dancers, gymnasts, figure skaters, endurance athletes, and anyone looking to improve movement efficiency, stability, and athletic performance.
Originally from Calgary, Meg moved to Vancouver Island in 2019 to complete her degree at the University of Victoria. Outside the clinic, she enjoys distance running, weightlifting, and skating.
Meg's treatment philosophy looks beyond the injury itself, considering factors such as movement patterns, lifestyle, sleep, stress, and overall physical health to develop individualized rehabilitation and injury prevention programs. Her goal is simple: to help every patient move with greater confidence, perform at their best, and continue doing the activities they love.
