Meghan's treatment approach is hands on and incorporates manual therapy, Gunn IMS dry-needling, craniosacral therapy, exercise prescription, acupuncture, and client education. Her approach aims to both address the current injury and to identify potential predisposing factors while also empowering clients and helping facilitate their individualized return to function. She believes that by identifying the underlying causes and/or contributing factors that have led to the development of movement faults in the body, we can best support long-term recovery.
Meghan graduated with her Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia in 2009. She has since continued to pursue post-graduate training in manual therapy completing her Masters of Clinical Science - Advanced Health Care Practice in Manipulative Therapy through Western University and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists (FCAMPT). Meghan has continued to pursue additional education in craniosacral therapy; concussion management and rehabilitative ultrasound and has completed certifications in Anatomical Acupuncture (CAFCI) and Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS).
Meghan is originally from Ontario where she grew up submersing herself in the outdoors. She made the move to British Columbia over 14 years ago after recognizing that visiting the mountains just wasn’t enough. Basing herself in the mountains in Whistler, BC, Meghan enjoys balancing work with play. Meghan spends her free time outdoors as she continues to explore the beauty of BC on foot, skis and bike.
