During an initial assessment session with an osteopath, the patient typically discusses their medical history, current symptoms, and any relevant concerns. The osteopath conducts a thorough physical examination, assessing posture, mobility, and areas of pain or discomfort. Based on their findings, the osteopath discusses a personalized treatment plan, explains proposed techniques, and seeks the patient's informed consent. Some treatment may be initiated during the session to address immediate concerns. The overall goal is to assess the patient's condition, establish a treatment plan, and begin the journey towards improved musculoskeletal health and well-being.
