As a Manual Osteopath, Michael treats a wide range of musculoskeletal and nervous system issues and is passionate about helping people improve health and wellness by correcting posture, optimizing movement and performance, and resolving pain and injury. Michael believes in addressing the root cause of the problem and utilizes a whole-body approach to assess and treat faulty movement patterns in order to help the body restore optimal movement. A typical session with Michael includes assessments, muscle tests, joint mobilization and articulations, stretching, muscle release techniques, and various other soft tissue therapies. At-home exercises are also provided as part of a treatment plan to help lock-in corrected movement patterns.
Michael has a diploma in Manual Osteopathic Practice from National Academy of Osteopathy, is certified in NeuroKinetic Therapy, and has extensive experience practising and teaching traditional Japanese martial arts. Michael believes in lifelong learning and is continually expanding his manual therapy knowledge and skills through monthly seminars, workshops, and study groups.
