Michael is a graduate of the University of Toronto’s Master of Science in Physical Therapy program. Originally from British Columbia, his passion for health and wellness is deeply rooted in his love for nature and active living. He first pursued this interest through a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia.
Michael’s journey into Physiotherapy began with a life-changing personal experience—suffering a significant leg fracture during a basketball game shortly after completing his undergraduate studies. His recovery process, which included relearning to walk, run, and jump, gave him first-hand insight into the profound impact that Physiotherapy can have on a person’s life. This experience shaped his approach to care: grounded in empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others regain their function and confidence.
A firm believer in holistic, client-centered care, Michael incorporates a variety of techniques into his practice. This includes manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, functional strengthening, patient education, and mindfulness. His clinical training at the University of Toronto emphasized the importance of building strong therapeutic relationships, and he strives to work collaboratively with every patient to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their goals and lifestyle.
Outside of the clinic, Michael is an avid runner, resistance trainer, mental health advocate, and musician with a special love for a cappella music. Born in Taiwan, he speaks conversational Mandarin and enjoys connecting with clients from diverse backgrounds. He is always up for a conversation about food, music, and health.
Michael is committed to providing inclusive, high-quality care to help individuals of all ages and abilities live their lives to the fullest.
