Michelle Tetrault
Michelle is a graduate of the Master of Marriage and Family Therapy (MMFT) program and is currently awaiting her professional designation as a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). She also holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.), and her several years of experience working within the school system give her a unique understanding of how emotional well-being, learning, and family relationships intersect. Michelle works with clients of all ages — children, adolescents, and adults — as well as parents, couples, and families, supporting those navigating ADHD, autism, anxiety, relationship concerns, parenting challenges, parental burnout, and school-related difficulties.

A particular area of specialty for Michelle is helping families navigate the school system. She is skilled at advocating for students, collaborating with teachers and other professionals, and bridging communication between home and school — believing that when families and schools work together, children are better supported both academically and emotionally. Whether she is helping a child learn to manage big emotions, supporting parents through burnout, strengthening a couple's relationship, or advocating for a student's needs, Michelle is committed to helping clients feel empowered, connected, and hopeful.
Michelle believes one of the greatest gifts we can offer another person is to truly listen to their story. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based, drawing from family systems, attachment-based, experiential, and emotion-focused therapies, and grounded in the belief that every individual and family possesses resilience and the capacity for growth. As a parent herself, she brings both professional insight and lived understanding to her work with families. Outside the therapy room, Michelle enjoys strength training, boxing, running, spending time outdoors, and making memories with her children — experiences that remind her of the importance of resilience, balance, and finding joy in everyday moments.
