Call the office for same day bookings. What is this service? Stone massage therapy combines massage with the therapeutic use of stones that are heated or cooled in water. The stones are either massaged over the body or placed upon specific areas. Heat therapy causes increased sweating, improved circulation, and relaxed muscle tissue which in turn leads to reduced pain. Cold therapy decreases inflammation, spasms, and soreness. Heat and cold stone therapy together provides a contrast of vasoconstriction and vasodilation of blood vessels.

This is a 60 minute Registered Massage Treatment that includes Cupping. negative pressure (suction) cups will be used to address any area of complaint. Cupping is a safe, traditional treatment that helps resolve chronic muscle tightness and pain. The cups may leave marks, but they are temporary and will disappear in a few days maybe up to a week.

This incorporates both massage and indie head massage into a 60 minute treatment. The first 20-25 min with include general massage techniques and the last 35-40 minutes will include indie head massage. Acupressure originated in ancient China. Like many other treatments used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), the goal of the practice is to support the energy flow. According to TCM theory, qi (energy) flows through paths throughout the body, known as meridians. A lot of the movement of qi, or life force inside the meridians lies on the acupressure points, which can be stimulated by manual pressure with fingers or tools, heat, or needles(acupuncture), depending on the therapy and modality. These acupressure points are the same ones used in acupuncture. The traditional view is that there are points on the meridian channels where it’s easiest to connect with the flow of qi. Applying pressure to acupressure points is meant to elicit specific therapeutic effects on physical, emotional, and mental health. In conventional Western medicine, the theory behind how acupressure works is a bit different, and it tends to be viewed more in terms of affecting certain nerves for a relaxing and therapeutic effect. Other theories include effects on the local tissues, brain function, neurohormonal activity, and physiologic pathways.
