Monica is a licensed Physiotherapist who works out of Brightwood Golf & Country Club and Maritime Chiropractic & Wellness. She also works part-time as a lab instructor at Dalhousie University and is the President of the Nova Scotia Physiotherapy Association.
She is originally from Fredericton, New Brunswick but has lived in Halifax for over 10 years. She graduated with a BSc in Kinesiology with honours from the University of New Brunswick, where she competed for the University’s Swim Team. Monica moved to Halifax to further pursue her education at Dalhousie University. There, she obtained a MSc in Physiotherapy and a MSc in Rehabilitation Research, being the first to complete the dual program within the School of Physiotherapy.
Growing up Monica played a variety of sports but focused most of her energy on swimming, attending many national competitions including two Canada Summer Games. Now she fuels her passion for athletics out on the golf course!
Monica's physiotherapy interests lie in orthopaedics and she has a special interest in treating golfers. She has her Titliest Performance Institute Level 1 and Level 2 Medical Certification.

Your first visit will consist of a conversation and physical assessment focused on your goals - whether you have an injury or just want to improve your overall health/strength/mobility.
Individualized treatment may include education, manual therapy and/or exercise programming. To be booked after initial assessment.
Go through the Titleist Performance Institute Physical Screen which looks at key Mobility and Stability Characteristics required for an efficient golf swing. Exercises will be prescribed based on your results. To be booked after initial assessment.
