Monik graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Master of Physical Therapy and from University of the Fraser Valley with a Bachelor of Kinesiology, specializing in Exercise Science. Born and raised in Surrey, she has always appreciated the unique beauty of the Lower Mainland, with its mountains, beaches, and ocean all close by.
Monik's passion for orthopedics began at a young age when she watched a physiotherapist help her grandmother recover after a fall. Since then, she has been fascinated by the art and science of movement. As a woman and athlete, she is passionate about empowering her patients through movement and strength while creating a safe, supportive space where they feel heard. This philosophy remains at the core of her practice. Whether you're training for a marathon, returning to the gym, or simply hoping to lift up your groceries without pain, she is here to help you move and feel your best
Committed to lifelong learning, Monik continues to expand her orthopedic manual therapy skills and clinical reasoning through postgraduate education. She has completed courses including the Mulligan Upper Quadrant Course, Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Rehabilitation: Advanced Skills Workshop, Neuromuscular Re-education on Postural Control, and Level 1 of the Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal (AIM) Physiotherapy Program.
Outside the clinic, you'll often find Monik in the gym exploring the latest rehabilitation and strength-training techniques, playing soccer, or convincing herself that a spin class was "fun". She also loves cheering on the Vancouver Canucks and can probably talk hockey just as enthusiastically as she talks rehab. She can't wait to work with you! Monik does not currently offer dry needling.
