Ashley Shelswell is a bilingual Registered Physiotherapist. She has shifted her focus to women's and men's health and is currently exclusively treating as a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist.
Ashley has found her passion in helping both women and men with their pelvic health issues such as pregnancy care, pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, bladder incontinence and other pelvic issues. She also strives to empower and guide woman through the prenatal and postnatal phases.
She is a Physiotherapist who has additional training in pelvic health and orthopedic injuries. Ashley continues to participate in post-graduate courses in order to provide current evidence-based care to her patients.

*FOR CYCLISTS THAT RIDE WITH FLAT PEDALS OR FOR THE BIKE FIT OF A SECOND BIKE* The basic bike fit is for the cyclist that is new to the sport of cycling and who rides flat pedals. If you do have cleats, please book a comprehensive bike fit. The basic bike fit is also for cyclist who have had a full bike fit completed on another bike in the last year. A basic bike fit will include a brief physiotherapy assessment, pre and post bike fit measurements, saddle adjustments, and pedal stroke analysis.
*ONLY FOR PATIENTS THAT HAVE ALREADY HAD A FULL BIKE FIT COMPLETED* The follow up is to address any outstanding symptoms or to adjust any new equipment that was purchased since the full bike fit (e.g., new saddle, cleats, stem, etc.).
*ONLY FOR FIRST TIME CLIENTS* The comprehensive bike fit is for cyclists of any experience level that want to prevent repetitive injuries or have a chronic riding injury. The comprehensive bike fit is for cyclists that ride with a clipless pedal. This bike fit includes a brief physiotherapy assessment, pre and post bike fit measurements, pedal interface adjustments, saddle adjustments, cockpit adjustments and pedal stroke analysis.
*Please note: This booking option is for patients who have previously completed an initial assessment with one of our pelvic health Physiotherapist. If you require an initial assessment (first visit) please contact the clinic to book an this appointment.* Pelvic health physiotherapy treatments can help improve the function of the pelvic floor muscles by including a multimodal approach to treatment. Treatment may include but is not limited to: -Internal and external manual therapy (soft tissue (i.e- muscles, scars) and joint mobilization) -Pelvic muscle retraining and individualized home exercise program -Education regarding your pelvic floor function, bowel/bladder habits etc. -Pain education and management strategies -Breathing and relaxation techniques -Acupuncture and/or dry needling -Other treatments and recommendations to alleviate your pain and restore your pelvic floor function.
Booking for new patients, or existing patients with a new injury. A physiotherapist will assess you using detailed history-taking as well as specific physical tests and measures. He or she will then analyze the assessment findings and use clinical reasoning to establish a diagnosis and develop and appropriate treatment plan for you.
Only to be booked if you have already had a physiotherapy assessment for your injury. Physiotherapy treatments include comprehensive exercise programs, education, manual therapy, dry needling and therapeutic modalities and incorporate approaches and techniques supported by the best evidence available.
