An initial assessment will be performed with a Pelvic Health trained physiotherapist. We will take a detailed history and complete a full physical examination. The physical examination typically will involve an internal exam if consent is obtained. Based on our assessment, we will develop a treatment plan for your condition.

Initial Shockwave Assessment with treatment. Extracorporeal shockwave therapy is a specialized form of treatment designed to improve the health of a tissue by delivering high intensity bursts of mechanical energy. This energy shock is not electrical, but rather a rapid high frequency vibration in the form of a Radial Pressure Wave (RPW). When appropriately applied, Shockwave can increase local blood flow, improve healing response, break apart scar tissue and adhesions, reduce muscle spasm, and directly decrease pain. Most patients tolerate the treatments well, and report only mild discomfort.

This therapy rehabilitates the visual, perceptual, and motor disorder and is great for patients of all ages. The rehabilitation program incorporates in-office and at-home exercises for the remediation and management of the patient’s visual problems.
