Karen holds a Bachelor of Physical Education from McMaster University and graduated in 2002 from the Canadian Therapeutic College and Hydrotherapy in Burlington. She is a Certified Active Release Provider, Contemporary Acupuncture for Health Care provider, and Kinesio-Tape provider. Currently a board member of the National and Provincial Canadian Sport Massage Therapy Association,
Karen has worked with athletes at the local level in their developmental stages, to University, international and professional level athletes at the FISU games in Naples, Italy 2019 and South Korea in 2015, Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg , Manitoba 2017, Pan American Games in Hamilton 2015, World Junior Track and Field Championships in New Brunswick 2015, Para-Olympic Athletes in Vancouver in 2004.
Karen has been selected for the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympic Games as part of the Core Medical Team.
Along with her current practice at Main West Massage, Karen treats all conditions from headaches, muscle tightness, to post-operative joint replacements. She combines and incorporates many different techniques from ART, Cupping , Fascial work, and modalities heat/cold and acupuncture to provide specific care to each of her clients to provide the most effective treatments possible.
