Introducing Melissa MacIntosh, Registered Massage Therapist at Luminate Co Wellness Centre
Melissa MacIntosh, our dedicated Registered Massage Therapist, has been helping individuals achieve their wellness goals since completing her 2200-hour program at The Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2018. With a passion for learning and personal growth, Melissa has expanded her expertise by earning her certification as a Manual Lymphatic and Combined Decongestive Therapist through the prestigious Dr. Vodder School International.
This advanced training has equipped Melissa with specialized techniques to support the Lymphatic System, which are particularly beneficial for clients with conditions such as Lymphedema, Lipedema, Chronic Headaches, Migraines, Sinusitis, and Post-Surgical Swelling. Melissa is also skilled in preparing clients for surgery, helping to optimize recovery with focused pre-operative care.
With a broad range of experience, Melissa has worked with clients undergoing cancer treatments, including Chemotherapy and Radiation, as well as post-cancer surgeries such as Mastectomy, Lumpectomy, and Laryngectomy. She also treats issues related to whiplash, concussions, TMJ discomfort, and muscular restrictions, providing relief for those recovering from orthopedic surgeries. Melissa has a broad scope of practice, from Pediatrics, Youth to Adults.
Melissa’s approach is rooted in a genuine commitment to her clients’ well-being. She tailors each session to address specific needs, ensuring a therapeutic experience that leaves you feeling very well cared for.
